If you're at the center of your child's care then you know this moment...
You leave the school meeting or medical appointment, a million thoughts swirling.
You gather yourself in the car for a few moments trying to memorize it until you have a quite moment to put it all down.
Next is homework, then dinner — and by the time you get to it, so much is lost.
Every question, every unexpressed thought, every intuitive feeling.
Caplet captures all of it, so you can let it go.
Caplet™ is in prototype testing with a small group of parents. We'd love for you to join us.
If you navigate complex care coordination for your child, read on to learn how Caplet works, how it was created and what our privacy safeguards are.
To become an early tester, follow the steps below.
Caplet practice scripts are made availble for testing so you can try Caplet without any commitment or obligation.
Caplet's Story:
I'm Christine Powers.
I've spent 20+ years navigating care for my neurodivergent son.
Like many parents, I held the thread across school, medical, and therapy providers.
I was leaving IEP meetings and specialist appointments with hastily scratched notes and losing details before I ever had time to put them together.
Not because I wasn't paying attention — because I was trying to hold too many threads across all of my child's care.
Like many parents, I carried around a binder bursting with notes, documents, reminders, and to-do lists that I was always trying to organize and never quite could.
Today I see so many parents of children with special needs still struggling with the same complicated system.
I built Caplet because it's what I wished I had.
I built Caplet for the parents still struggling.
As a Library professional, I understand privacy policy. As a parent I understand your concerns. Caplet is built ground-up to prioritize parental control and data privacy to protect what matters most.
HOW YOUR DATA IS HANDLED
Your voice memo is processed by OpenAI's Whisper API to create a text transcript, then by Anthropic's Claude API to organize it into a summary. Both happen automatically and immediately.
Your audio is deleted the moment transcription is complete. It is never stored.
Your transcript is retained for up to 24 hours as a technical safeguard, then permanently deleted. It is never accessed by any person during that window.
Your organized four-section summary is saved on Caplet's prototype server, protected by your login.
When the testing period ends, all summaries and account data will be permanently deleted from the server.
IEPs and 504 plans are FERPA-protected educational records. In this prototype, Caplet captures your words and observations only — it does not access or analyze any documents.
What Caplet does is simple:
it captures your expertise, your insight and organizes it for you,
so you don't lose the thread.
